Doug Allan, a freelance wildlife and documentary cameraman, will share his first- hand experiences from both the Arctic and Antarctic, the effects of climate change on our environment and its impact on our wildlife. Doug has a string of high profile award winning films and series for the major TV networks worldwide, including the BBC’s The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Life, Human Planet and Frozen Planet and is an Honorary Graduate of the University of St Andrews.
Often exciting, sometimes humorous, always revealing and refreshingly honest, his ‘Life Behind the Lens’ tour offers unique personal insights into the challenges of filming animals in the wildest places on Earth, and the challenges they face for survival. Doug’s deep understanding of the biology of the animals and the craft of wildlife photography will engage and inspire audiences of all ages.
