My name is Yasmin Viana, I am a biologist and PhD candidate at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil. My thesis is about the alterations in the acoustic communication of Odontocetes across co-occurrence contexts, focusing on mixed-species groups. Currently, I also coordinate the Passive Acoustic Monitoring Project at Aqualie Institute, in which  we collect and analyze acoustic data from offshore odontocete species to assess the effects of seismic activities over their acoustic behaviour. I am also a teaching fellow in the Animal Behaviour and Environmental Studies applied to fauna post-graduation diploma courses  at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
