Dr Richard Sherley is an ecologist and conservation biologist with the Bristol Zoological Society and the Environment and Sustainability Institute at the University of Exeter.

His research focuses on the population demography, behaviour and conservation of seabirds, particularly how they interact with human impacts in the marine environment.

His work is funded by the Leiden Conservation Foundation and a number of other charitable trusts.
