Humpback whales in foraging ground have strictly high demand for feeding because time for foraging is limited during the foraging period. However, resting is also an essential part of all life. However, in the study of wild cetaceans, resting tend to receive less attention and little is known. We addressed the resting characteristics of wild humpback whales as well as how humpback whales allocate time between foraging and resting.
