Event Details

River dolphins are phylogenetically distinct from their marine relatives and have evolved in different habitats. Freshwater habitats might’ve led to different communication strategies than those of marine dolphins. I am going to present some of the results on our research on acoustic communication in Sotalia and Inia dolphins in the Amazon Region and coastal waters of South and Central America.
