Profile

Dr Guilherme A. Bortolotto
Research Fellow in Polar Marine Ecology
I'm interested in habitat selection, conservation, potential impact of human activities on marine animals, and in the methods to look into these - survey and analysis.
During my MSc and PhD, I investigated some aspects of the ecology of humpback whales in Brazil, using data from line transect surveys and from telemetry tracking.
As a postdoc, I am tagging Antarctic seals to help understanding the consequences of climate change to that environment and to those animals. https://thwaitesglacier.org/projects/tarsan
