Profile

Dr Laura Marshall
Research Fellow
PhD Thesis: Statistical developments for understanding anthropogenic impacts on marine ecosystems
Current work: Expanding the suite of distance sampling analysis options within the software "Distance" to deal with complexities in marine mammal line transect surveys. Developing the simulation engine within "Distance" to allow people to test different scenarios and survey designs for their specific species and region of interest. The simulation engine is also available as an R package on CRAN called 'DSsim'.
